Log a meal in seconds, not minutes

Pick whichever suits the moment. Caterpillar remembers your portions and habits either way.

Snap Your Plate

Photograph your plate and Caterpillar finds every part of it. On Pro-model iPhones, LiDAR measures your actual portion. Tell it "130 g pasta" and it takes your word for it.

Barcode scans

Point, beep, logged, with strong coverage of Woolies, Coles and Aldi. Scan five things in a row with Log & Scan Next.

Menu Scan

Eating out? Photograph the menu and tap what you ordered. Size each dish up or down so a pub lunch doesn't derail the day.

Just say it

Talk your meal in while your hands are busy, or type it. "Maccas" and "Weet-Bix" land exactly where you'd expect.

Favourites that stick

The things you eat every day are one tap away, at the portion you actually have. Mixed drinks and powders too.

Your recipes

Save your own, or share a recipe screenshot or web page straight into the app. Send one to a friend and it lands in theirs.

Have a look inside

Bright, quick, and a little bit silly. The way logging food should be.

No flattering numbers

A tracker that keeps you honest

Most apps quietly round in your favour, because a happy number keeps you opening the app. Caterpillar would rather be right.

Cooked, not dry

Pasta, rice and oats roughly triple in weight when you cook them. Log "130 g pasta" over a plate of dinner and Caterpillar counts it as cooked, and says so on the entry.

The hydration screen: a dew drop, 1915 ml of a 1902 ml goal

Hydration that doesn't flatter you

A dew drop fills with everything you drink, coloured by what it actually was. Coffee and tea count properly: they hydrate you about as well as water. Spirits don't. A neat nip takes water back out of the drop, and you can watch it happen.

Australian food, first

Built on FSANZ food data, because Australian mince really is leaner than the American figures most apps use. Barcodes, nutrition panels, and a shared verified-food database that gets better every time somebody scans something new.

Progress you can actually see

Most trackers give you a number. Caterpillar gives you a day you can read at a glance.

Grows

Your caterpillar gets longer as the day fills. It munches when you log and sips when you drink.

Remembers

Sign in and your history, streaks and gallery follow you. New phone, reinstall, next year.

No ads

Nothing sold, nothing rented, nothing following you around the internet.

Yours

Export everything to CSV whenever you like, and delete your account from inside the app.
